Martlets finish third at McGill Open meet

MONTREAL - Sebastien Flynn, a freshman from Halifax, won the men's individual title and guided the McGill Redmen to finish third of nine teams at the McGill Open cross-country meet on the slopes of Mt. Royal, Saturday.

Flynn ran the six-kilometre race in 19 minutes, 57 seconds, followed by Adrian Walton (20:13), a McGill student who was competing as an independent, and Ryan Armstrong (20:24) from the Western Ontario Mustangs.

In the women's competition, Leila Angrand won gold to lead the Western Ontario Mustangs to a first-place finish. Angrand completed the 4k race in 14:48, followed by teammate Lynn Mockler (15:43) and Rachel Asber of Williams College (15:44).
