MONTREAL - Calgary native Alexander Duhault, an 18-year-old civil engineering freshmen with the McGill Redmen, has been named rookie of the year in men's cross-country running by the Quebec Student Sports Federation, which announced the conference major trophy winners and all-stars, Tuesday.

The only other honoree from the Redmen was Graydon Snider, a 26-year-old chemistry senior from Montreal, who earned all-conference status.

Sherbrooke's James Poulin-Cadovius, a native Montrealer, was announced as the conference athlete of the year, while teammate Alex Genest of Lac-aux-Sables, Que., was voted student-athlete of the year and Vincent Paquet of the conference champion Vert & Or, merited coach-of-the-year honours.
